I led the redesign of the AI4 conference website, aiming to give it a modern and engaging look. The project focused on creating a site that was visually appealing and fully responsive across desktops, tablets, and mobiles.
Project Brief
The task was to develop a new website layout with wireframes and user experience flows to ensure it was both responsive and engaging. I also designed a variety of additional materials, including brochures, banners, booklets, event guides, presentations, GIFs, and animated email banners. Additionally, I created videos using AI tools for the site's hero sections and email animations.
Role
I was responsible for all aspects of UX and UI design for the AI4 conference site. This included designing wireframes, user flows, and responsive layouts. I also created printed and digital assets, such as brochures and email banners, and produced videos using AI tools.
Methods
I collaborated with the marketing team and utilized tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud. My approach involved researching and experimenting with new AI tools to enhance animations and video content, ensuring a modern and user-friendly experience.
AI-Generated Hero Video
For the hero video area of the homepage, I utilized AI video generators to create an engaging and animated video. This tool allowed me to produce a visually captivating introduction that aligns with the event’s modern and innovative theme.
Overall Style and Design Choices
The redesign features a modern aesthetic with a thoughtful use of color and contrast. I focused on combining dark backgrounds with white sections to create a striking visual balance. T
The design leverages both negative and positive space to enhance readability and highlight key content. Sections with contrasting colors and clean lines ensure that important information stands out, contributing to an engaging and user-friendly experience.
Agenda Page Layout
The Agenda page is designed as an interactive filter dashboard to help users navigate the event topics easily. The layout features a prominent spotlight section that highlights key sessions and speakers. Below this, a calendar view allows users to see the event schedule at a glance.
A tab system organizes the agenda by day, with detailed timings for each event. This setup ensures that users can quickly find and plan for the sessions they’re interested in, making the event experience more streamlined and accessible.
Marketing Materials
In addition to the website redesign, I created various booklets, including sponsor packets, welcome packets, and an event guide. These materials were designed in line with the conference’s branding, ensuring consistency in colors, patterns, and overall style.
The booklets provided essential information such as event details, schedules, sponsor listings, exhibitor directories, and maps. They were prepared as both digital eBooks and printable formats to be distributed before and during the event, maintaining a cohesive and professional appearance.
Presentation and Sponsorship Decks
I created a series of presentation decks using Google Slides for various sponsorship needs. This included developing templates and core presentations tailored for sponsors.
The decks featured multiple pages designed with a cohesive style, incorporating statistics, graphs, and key information to communicate sponsorship opportunities effectively.
Each template was crafted to be visually appealing and consistent with the event’s branding.
